Carlsberg Pint Bottle Green 24x330ml

Right from the very beginning in 1847, Carlsberg’s bottles were corked for freshness, much like champagne bottles. In 1918 a new form of capping came with the introduction of the crown cork which resembles the bottle tops we see today. The new capping method initially used a cork lining on the inside of the cap as it was believed to maintain freshness but was later replaced with plastic.This capping method brought with it the introduction of the bottle opener and instructions for how to remove crown caps (right).
